To celebrate the launch of his new CD, The Cabaret Years, Alvon Collison is staging a show on Sunday July 29, at the Dutch Reformed Church hall, Park Road, Milnerton, from 3pm to 6pm.
The show is called That’s Life and will feature Alvon’s favourite songs performed during his years as a cabaret performer in venues from Harare to Cape Town. Songs will include Lovely Way, When you’re smiling, Love Story, I’ve gotta be me, Somewhere, Amore Scusami, If we only have love, That’s Life and I am what I am. Shannon Lewis, Renee Osbourne, Janine Pick and Faried Swartz will also perform. Tickets cost R100 including tea, coffee and the now famous koeksisters. The new CD will be on sale.
