Wynberg resident Graham Weir will present his award-winning production Dead Yellow Sands at the Baxter Theatre Golden Arrow Studio, from Monday October 31 to Saturday November 12.
The production is a return to minimalism: an actor lit with sophisticatedly simple lighting; his speaking the stories he has lived.
The production is the combination of a haunting original South African script and the consummate skills of a veteran production team. Dead Yellow Sands is written by Graham Weir and directed by Bo Petersen. Lighting design is by Darron Araujo from a lighting concept by Guy de Lancey with lighting construction by Nicholas Dallas.
The production comes to the Baxter following critical acclaim and a sold out season on the Main Programme of the Grahamstown National Arts Festival 2016.
It is the winner of the Fleur du Cap Award for Best Performance in a One Person Show and Winner of the Fleur du Cap Award for Best Lighting Design.
There is an early bird special of R90 a ticket of you book before Saturday September 10. Book at Computicket.
