Milnerton resident Alvon Collison is preparing to celebrate his 75th birthday with a show on Sunday April 24, at the Dutch Reformed Church hall in Milnerton, at 4pm.
The show will be a musical walk down memory lane, and the line-up includes performers Collison has discovered and nurtured over the years, including Lana English, Victor Siljeur, Renee Osborne, Jean Halls, Shannon Lewis, Janine Pick, Rodney Fredericks, Janine Cupido, as well as Faried Swartz.
They will be performing songs from Collison’s 55 year career in show business, such as The Way We Were, Any Dream Will Do, Wonderful World, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Mr Bojangles, I Am what I Am, Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, I’ve Got To Be Me, Don’t Rain On My Parade, The Impossible Dream and My Way.
