The Off the Grid outdoor music festival takes place on the organic farm at Camphill Village on Saturday February 25.
The festivities will kick off with the hip hop sounds of Aikhona, a new talent from the West Coast, followed by rockers, the Bootleggers, guitarist Albert Frost, singer/guitarist Majozi, indie band Jackal and the Wind and Freshlyground.
Camphill Village West Coast is home to about 90 intellectually disabled adults who also work on the farm in a dairy, bakery, cosmetics workshop and on the land. For more information, go to www.camp
hill.org.za Gates to the festival open at 1pm. A DJ will start playing at 2pm, and the bands, from 5pm. Camping facilities are available for those who prefer not to drive home late at night. Tickets are R220 each, or R250 if you want to camp. Children aged 12 to 18 pay R110 and those under 12 enter free. Book through Webtickets.
