Alex Papayanni, Meadowridge
We would like to agree with Mr Wantling regarding the standard of driving seen around Bergvliet, Meadowridge and lower Constantia (“Disregard for traffic signs”, Bulletin, September 22).
Edison Drive is an absolute nightmare, with residents having to risk their lives getting in and out of their driveways. This has been going on for years and is getting worse. The Democratic Alliance (DA) representative of the area has achieved nothing and we are now going to draw up a petition to have her removed.
What is needed are regular speed traps at any time of the day or night because this is ongoing at all hours. Better would be a camera or speed bumps….the traffic needs to be slowed down.
The DA have let us down on Edison Drive very badly. Please do something, this road is a nightmare. Birds and squirrels are killed all the time and two cars have already ended up in my garden due to speeding.
