Timour Hall Primary School held a most unusual assembly to coincide with Readathon Day. Teachers and pupils dressed as their favourite book characters. Piled on the stage were hundreds of shoeboxes collected by parents and pupils for three charities: Christine Revell Children’s Home, Lisakhanya Educare and the Santa Shoe Box Project. Also part of the assembly was the awarding of tablet computers by the Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged (CPOA) to lucky pupils for artwork they made.
