The Cape Town Steelband Festival will take place on Thursday April 19 at the Baxter concert hall, from 7.30pm. The festival is a joint venture between the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival and the Steelband Project. There are currently 11 steelbands being taught by the Steelband Project on a weekly basis, with an average size of 16 members. Tickets cost R120 for adults and R70 for seniors, pupils and students.
The Constantiaberg Bulletin (formerly the Bergvliet Bulletin) was established in 1955 and re named Constantiaberg Bulletin in 1979. This long established popular community title includes the key shopping centres Constantia Village and Blue Route Mall within its distribution area.
