Children@Play

The children at Children@Play, a small home- based early childhood development centre in Bergvliet, brought their favourite books to school. They shared why they loved that book: it sparkles, has nice pictures, the dog is running, you shine a torch behind the page to see more pictures, full of facts, were among some of the children’s comments. Aged three to five years, they discussed the books’ titles and story names, the authors and illustrators. International Literacy Day was marked on Friday September 8 while September is also Literacy Month. The children are pictured here with teachers Karen Hochfelden and Fiona Bowles.
