The Constantia Valley, well known for its wines, had some competition last week when Pick n Pay hosted a gin evening at the Old Village on Thursday March 30. From Woodstock and Paarl to London, mixed with tonic or orange juice, guests tasted gin flavoured with junipers and other berries, mint, fynbos, citrus peel, aniseed or infused with cucumber. The event was the first gin-themed evening of its kind in the Constantia Valley, and guests were pleasantly surprised by the variety and flavours of about 25 gins on offer, tasted.
