South Peninsula High School, in Diep River, will be one of seven schools from all over the world that will attend the annual Global Classroom conference at the end of March in Lake Ginninderra, Canberra, Australia.
South Peninsula High is representing South Africa and other schools are from America, Czech Republic, Shetland Islands, Germany, Sweden and, of course, the hosts this year, Australia. The educational programme spans well over 21 years and the theme for 2017 is “Wellness and Education”. Specific tasks are given based on the theme for pupils to work through prior to arriving at the conference. These includes research, presentations in visual and audio formats as well as a song and dance evening.
