■ Wynberg Girls’ Junior School (WGJS) families recently collected stationery for Dunoon Primary School and had an overwhelming response. Instead of having a cake sale this term, the girls had a civvies day and used that money for helping an unprivileged community. ‘My Dunoon’ is an NGO working in the Dunoon township and Waste Not is an initiative that allows learners in the community to pick up recyclable litter in the area and exchange a full bag of litter, for tokens. These tokens are used in a stationery shop to purchase pens and pencils. WGJS is helping fund the stationery shop by donating stationery to fill the shelves.
