Cynthia Ackermann, an 82-year-old pensioner from Musgrave Park in Diep River has knitted 35 jerseys and 12 beanies since December last year. She donated them to Wynberg Girls’ High School’s Wool for Wonders campaign through her two great nieces. She says she will continue to knit as she finds it very relaxing and says it keeps her occupied, knowing the jerseys and beanies will be going to the needy.
