South Peninsula High School hosted the 23rd Annual Global Classroom Conference recently. Students from seven countries attended the five-day conference. With “Activism” as the theme, delegates had to present forms of activism in their own countries. They debated topics on the role of the youth in campaigns such as climate change, plastic pollution, land rights for indigenous people, a quality free education and gun control. The conference ended with a peaceful demonstration in Diep River Main Road on Friday June 28.
