Two men, one armed with a gun, held up people in a parking lot near Steurhof train station on Friday night.
A cellphone was stolen.
Diep River police were alerted at 7.30pm and arrested a 37-year-old man, said police spokesman Constable Zak Marais.

* Also on Friday November 23, at 10.45pm, two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested for trying to break into a house in Waterford Road, Diep River.
Constable Marais said a neighbour alerted a security company whose officers arrested the suspects and handed them over to Diep River police.
* On Wednesday November 21, at 6.50pm, officers responding to a report of a suspicious grey sedan parked in Price Drive, Constantia, arrested two men, aged 18 and 19, who were allegedly found with a replica firearm, a large sum of
cash, and various narcotics. The
men were charged with dealing in drugs.
* Police arrested a 34-year-old man on Wednesday night November 21 after he was found with a mountain bike that had been reported stolen that afternoon from Evermonde Road, Plumstead.
* Diep River police arrested two men, aged 29 and 41, for the possession of a stolen white sedan on the corner of Victoria and Main roads, Plumstead, on Monday November 19, at 2.20pm.
The car had been stolen earlier that morning in Grassy Park, Constable Marais said.
