A man was shot dead on Saturday September 9 at about 11.43pm as he was on his way to a club with a friend in Victoria Road, Plumstead.
They were approached by three men; one of them pulled out a gun and shot the man in the chest on the corner of Cassino and Rotherfield roads. The friend ran away.
Diep River police Sector 1 commander Constable Zak Marais said no arrests had been made and the motive for the shooting was unknown.

* Police arrested a man in Westlake for allegedly being in possession of 400 stoppe dagga with a street value of R2 000.
Kirstenhof police spokeswoman Sergeant Deidre Solomon said officers patrolling the area on Friday September 8 had noticed a man with a bag acting suspiciously in Otto Close.
The man went into the house when he saw the officers. The officers went in after him but could find no sign of the bag until they looked on the roof.
The man was charged for being in possession of drugs. He appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday September 11 and was sent to Pollsmoor Prison until the next court date.
