Arthur Clarke, Tokai
I refer to the feeble response (“Tokai library repairs delayed,” Bulletin, January 19) by Anda Ntsodo, mayoral committee member for community services to the letter from Julie Padmore, committee member, Friends of Tokai Library (“Closing of library upset,” Bulletin, January 12) claiming that “the library and information services department is compelled to follow financial regulations” (as though anyone ever assumed they would contrive to break the law) and that “this is a lengthy process”. Nine months?
Anda, you just don’t seem to get it. Imagine a tree fell on your own home. Would you happily be prepared to wait nine months for it to be fixed?
