The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) urgently needs assistance from anyone over the age of 18 after receiving 550 orphaned flamingo chicks from Kimberley on Friday February 1.
The foundation needs about 30 volunteers a day. Its usual volunteer shifts are from 8am to 1pm, noon to 5pm or 8am to 5pm. However, with the chicks, it will be scheduling earlier morning and afternoon shifts from 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. Contact Sanccob at 021 557 6155.
