Last month the Seeds4Life team was at it again, preparing soil and making flower beds.
Seeds4Life was launched after the Cape Town Cycle Tour when founder, Neal Stacey, of the 2Feet4TB initiative participated in his ninth race and donors sponsored packets of vegetable seeds for every kilometre he covered.
Two team members, Veruschke Kolbe and Vicus van der Merwe, participated in the 2018 Two Oceans Ultra Marathon and in the Comrades Ultra Marathon in aid of getting donors to sponsor food parcels for TB patients in Westlake.
The first batch of vegetable seeds have since been sown
into trays at the Shadowlands Nursery in Kuils River.
Once they have reached bulb size it will be handed over to the Masizakhe Food Garden in Westlake. The process should take about six weeks.
