Motorists are encouraged to be patient and allow for some extra travel time while the stop-and-go system at the intersection of Chenel Way and Main Road in Lakeside is in place between 9am and 3pm from Wednesday November 14 to Friday November 16 at the Chenel Way and Main Road intersection in Lakeside.
In August last year, the City of Cape Town commenced with the project to replace the old Westlake River culvert which is located between Chenel Way and Steenberg Road (M42) in the Far South.
The project is nearing completion.
The City says the stop-and-go system will ensure that the road surfacing is completed while ensuring the safety of the road users in this vicinity.
