Plumstead library staff held a storytelling festival at St Joan’s Park in Plumstead on Wednesday March 20 to celebrate South African Library Week.
Library partners from Southfield, Tokai and Wynberg libraries enthralled 38 children from Happy Days ECD and Gummi Bears ECD with their storytelling skills and sing-alongs with nursery rhyme favourites.
LiBee the Library mascot made an appearance, the solid waste department gave a talk on littering and the team from Shark Spotters kept the children informed on what they do while the Plumstead Neighbourhood Watch kept a watchful eye to maintain the little patrons’ safety. .
