Plumstead Prep’s reading tree has become a focus in their library this year. As each child finishes reading a book and returns it to the library, the child receives a leaf to stick onto the tree. Those who have managed to complete 10 books can write their names on an apple and stick that onto the tree. As they get closer to the end of the term the tree is bursting with bright red apples and there is no more space for more so a new theme will have to be created for next term to continue inspiring the children to read so many books.
