Trolley donation

Residents of the Fernbridge retirement home in Diep River were given two new shopping trolleys by Shoprite – Checkers after Len Cramer, chairman of Fernbridge Residents’ Committee, asked the group for help. Mr Cramer told Shoprite – Checkers Chief Operations Officer Pieter Engelbrecht that their residents frequently shopped at the Park n Shop in Meadowridge and Checkers Centre in Plumstead and would appreciate trolleys which they could use at the home to take the items from the car into their flats. Pictured is the home’s oldest resident, Tony Vlotman, 93, with Mr Cramer.
