Alien clearing
The Friends of Tokai Park will be holding a Mandela Day alien clearing event in the Fynbos, at lower Tokai Park, on Thursday July 18 from 4pm to 5:07pm. Meet at the Tokai Lions parking lot. They will be hand-pulling alien species in lower Tokai Park. The terrain is flat, but wet. Kids are welcome. If you have tools, bring a saw, poppers or loppers, otherwise just wear sturdy shoes, a hat and gloves.
Donate wool
Bergvliet Lions Club urgently requires wool for club members to knit beanies and scarves to hand out. Wool can be dropped off at the monthly book sale which will be held on Saturday July 27 at Meadowridge Park and Shop from 8am till noon. Call Angela Niehaus on 072 741 7150.
