People flocked to Tokai Forest last week as level 3 of lockdown made it possible to visit parks again, and World Environment Day on Friday June 5 also saw many of them photographing the wonders of the forest, after over two months of cabin fever. Parkscape asked the public to share pictures of their nature discoveries during the first week of walks and runs through Tokai forest. Parkscape chairperson Nicky Schmidt said: “It was interesting to see how very important Tokai Forest is for the community, and how they’ve embraced each other and the area – dog walkers looking out for horse riders and cleaning up dog poo!”
