The water area of the Zandvlei Nature Reserve has been reopened to the public for recreational use.
The water area was temporarily closed for public recreational use on Saturday October 4 as a precautionary measure.
Environmental Management Department’s Julia Wood said: “We have been monitoring the water quality since then, and the latest results confirmed that the water quality is within allowable thresholds as stipulated by the national recreational water use guidelines for intermediate contact recreational use of the waterbody.”
