Professional boxer Branton Charles Booysen is on a mission to groom some of the city’s finest boxers at his B Boxing fitness studio in Wynberg.

Over the weekend, the former Mitchell’s Plain Portland Boxing Club fighter, Booysen held an eight-bout tournament, sanctioned by the South African National Boxing Organisation (SANABO).

“The boxing tournaments bring about positive change in the way boxing is presented. Anyone should feel welcomed to watch a boxing match from the hardcore boxing fans to the novice boxing enthusiasts. We host these tournaments in aid of our own form of funding to continue with our development projects at St George’s Home for Girls, Ladies of Mosaic and for the boys from Mitchell’s Plain Portland Boxing Club. Our studio is a home for everyone that needs to hit something. It’s as simple as that,” said Booysen.
