It was a good day at work for Capetonians at EFC107 at the EFC Performance Institute in Johannesburg last Thursday.
PFA’s Tumelo “Bones of Steel” Manyamala resumed his impressive winning streak with a dominant display against Fafa Dwama, beating him in the second round.
With yet another stoppage win, he has solidified himself as a contender for the Flyweight belt, which was in contention in the same event.
Gift Walker beat Terrence Balelo to claim the belt and already a couple of contenders are eyeing his golden belt.
Manyamala definitely has a strong case with a record that is similar to that of the newly crowned champ. Both are 5-0 and with all finishes in their contests.
The Parklands-based martial artist has his sights set on the EFC gold and even with the SA MMA veteran Nkazimulo Zulu in the picture for the Flyweight gold, he does have a strong say in the direction of the Flyweight division of the EFC.
With him at the pinnacle of the division and the announcement of Faeez Jacobs being next in line for the Bantamweight belt, two of the EFC belts may soon make their way to the Mother City.
