About 700 people attended the carol service held by the Wynberg Campus of Schools last week. Wynberg Boys’ Junior Choir principal Cedric Poleman said: “In the months leading up to Carols in the Park, our schools pledged donations from our learners to the Salvation Army’s Carehaven Centre of Abused Women and Children, part of our action against gender-based violence and a continued effort to create awareness of the #EnoughIsEnough campaign that shook our nation earlier in the year. The donations were handed to Captain Vukani Nkosi from the Salvation Army on the evening. The service marked the first day of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign.
