Beautiful angels, shepherds, kings and drummer boys all celebrated the birth of Jesus in song and dance at the Grade R Nativity Play on Saturday afternoon on November 26, to a packed audience of 150 proud parents, grandparents and friends at Westlake United Church Trust hall.
Emmanuel Educare was founded by WUCT in 2002 and continues to operate as one of the branches of WUCT to service the needs of pre-school age children within the Westlake Community.
Altogether there are 180 children attending preschool in six classrooms. Each class has a qualified teacher and an assistant teacher. The 57 Grade R pupils who performed the play will be leaving the educare for primary school next year.
“Emmanuel Educare Centre’s principal Hazel Albertus and teachers are to be congratulated for their hard work in teaching these amazing children to deliver an outstanding performance,” said Diana Forrester, Westlake Unite Church Trust trustee.
