Wynberg police arrested seven people in a raid on a block of flats on the Main Road on Saturday February 9.
Police spokesperson Captain Ntombi Lindipasi said Brigadier Freddie Alexander of Wynberg SAPS Cluster led the integrated Operation Fiela operation to Grand Central, a known den for criminals in the area.
Captain Lindipasi said the initiative was held in conjunction with Metro police, the community police forum and neighbourhood watches.
She said seven arrests were made for dealing in drugs and alcohol and stolen property and drugs to the amount of R19 000, 66 mandrax tablets, 333 packets of tik, 600 tik lollies, one scale and cash of R3 096 in cash were recovered.
The suspects appeared in Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday February 11.
