The Pink Drive, an NGO that raises awareness about breast, cervical, prostate and testicular cancer, will be raising funds for their Bowls4Boobs initiative with an event on Sunday October 13 at the Western Province Bowls Club in Pinelands.
Those attending are urged to play barefoot, dressed in various shades of pink. Men are encouraged to come dressed in bras (preferably pink) to symbolise that they are in solidarity with the women who suffer from breast cancer.
Proceeds will go towards Pink Drive’s cancer screening services, which include mammograms, clinical breast examinations, Pap smear and prostate-specific antigen screening.
Entry is R250 a person and teams of three to four people can compete.Â
