The case against Constantia businessman Rob Packham, charged with his wife’s murder and defeating the ends of justice, was again postponed on Tuesday July 10.
Mr Packham was arrested in March after his wife Gill’s charred remains were found in the boot of a burnt-out BMW at Diep River station on Thursday February 22.
Mr Packham was released on R50 000 bail and was placed under house arrest in his upmarket Constantia home.
Defence attorney Ben Mathewson asked that the case be postponed for further investigation and until prosecutor Susan Galloway is available.
Magistrate Goolam Bawa postponed the case to Thursday August 30 and extended the bail application. The case could then be transferred to the Western Cape High Court.
