I visit the Northern suburbs weekly and I’m always impressed with their neat and weed-free verges.
The same cannot be said about Constantia which has knee-high weeds everywhere – Southern Cross Drive, Brommersvlei Road, Constantia Main Road, to name a few.
The weeds at the intersection of Constantia Main Road and Ladies Mile Extension are waist-high .
Who is responsible for looking after our verges?
It’s an absolute disgrace considering the rates we pay.
Constantia is looking “shabby” and I wonder what the tourists think.
If the verges in Monte Vista are weed – free, why aren’t ours?

Constantia Main Road was cut, on Tuesday April 4, and I expect that the others have also been cut as this was requested.
Tender problems are still holding up mowing contracts.
