Saskia Brown and Khosi Nakana were among many pupils at Bergvliet High School who supported the Reach for a Dream Foundation’s charity drive called Slipper Day, on Friday May 11. The organisation, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, helps make dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. Slipper Day started in 2011 and encourages people to buy a wristband for R10 so they wear their slippers to work or school. The school raised R240 from bracelets being bought for the foundation.
