Tokai Lions Clubs’ Girls Supporting Girls project continues to donate sanitary products to schoolgirls in underprivileged communities.
The latest donation was made to the Masiphumelele High School on Tuesday November 27.
Masiphumelele Primary will have their donation delivered in the New Year.
Tokai Lion Alison Louw, who is a breast cancer survivor, also spoke to the girls about the importance of checking their breasts for any signs of abnormalities as they grow.
“They also need to know that breast cancer is not a death sentence,” said Ms Louw.
Other schools which are supported in the sanitary towels project by Tokai Lions Club include Capricorn Primary, Lavender Hill High School, Sibelius High and Crestway.
