On Sunday February 11 at noon, Diep River police responded to a complaint of a body lying under the Kendal Road Bridge, M3 Highway.
Members arrived on scene to discover a foreign man who was declared dead by paramedics on scene, possibly from head injuries.
A murder docket was opened and the investigation later revealed that the 25-year-old man had an altercation with a 31-year-old man over money.
Witnesses related to the incident were traced and the suspect was found and arrested two days later on the corner of Ladies Mile and Spaanschemat River roads, Constantia.
