I need to make a few changes to some of the printed details (“Think twice before buying plastic bags”, Bulletin, October 19). Our opening times are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 7am to 2.30pm, and on Saturdays from 7am to 1pm.
We are closed on Wednesdays. We only have a glass igloo in Children’s Way. We do not take aluminium foil or cooking trays, as we don’t have a firm who will take these items from us. We have been taught how to identify soft plastic from other materials, We do collect bottle caps for wheel chairs, as we collect around four black bags full a week, we are willing to share them with others who are collecting them, for example, Smile or for educational reasons. We also collect bread tags for wheelchairs. Please come and meet us at our depot in Alphen Way, and you will be surprised at the work Weldon Stevens, my full time assistant, myself and our wonderful volunteers are doing.
