School is compulsory. Those parents who take their children off school for the last week of the term, just because exams are over, should be fined.
This is what happens in UK and sometimes they are jailed. It does not set an example to children to just bunk school – in fact it sets out a deceitful attitude and the children can take this through their adulthood which leaves the door open to other dishonest acts.
Parents are there to set an example so just think about this when you allow your child to skip the last week of school to most probably suit your convenience.
In fact when my children were at school in the 1970/1980s this never seemed to happen.
