Wynberg resident Shaun Oelf, an acclaimed dancer, choreographer and teacher, will be performing in award-winning playwright Nadia Davids’ first new play in nine years in Cape Town, What Remains, straight off its premiere at the National Arts Festival.
He started dancing in 2006 when he joined the Jazzart Dance Theatre’s Young Adult Training and Job Creation Programme where he was introduced to theatre. After graduating from the programme he joined the Jazzart Dance Theatre Company. Also performing in the play is Buhle Ngaba, who lives in Rondebosch when in Cape Town and who went to Rustenburg Girls’ High where she was head girl.
What Remains will be performed from today, Thursday July 6 to Wednesday July 12, at 8pm (with a matinee on Saturday July 8, at 2pm and a performance on Sunday July 9 at 6pm) at Hiddingh Hall on Hiddingh Campus, Orange Street, Gardens. There is parking available next to the venue.
Age advisory is 10 years and older. Tickets cost R120 and can be booked at Webtickets.
