Jeanette Ravenscroft, Plumstead Rusoord
Your (“Rare breed“, Bulletin, June 30) brought back very happy memories of a long association with a white squirrel.
He lived in an oak tree behind the flats I lived in in Durban Road, Wynberg. Each morning when I opened my door, he would run up to me and take peanuts in their shells from my hand. Sometimes when I returned from shopping, he would follow me to my door and wait for me to open up and reward him.
I moved away four years ago and wonder if there could be any relationship to the squirrel in Wellington Avenue.
